PAUL AUSTIN

Paul has a nose for a good story.

Paul Austin, Chief Creative Officer of Austin Advisory Group, is a trailblazer in fragrance, branding, content creation, and experiential marketing.

With nearly two decades at Unilever and Quest International (now Givaudan) - where he rose to Global Vice President of Fine Fragrances - Paul seamlessly blends scents with storytelling to craft unforgettable brand experiences.

Inspired by a transformative sabbatical in India to study the country’s natural perfumery ingredients, he founded Austin Advisory Group with the original mission of connecting fragrance consumers to farmers through authentic and inspiring storytelling. This soon led to the award-winning Seed To Scent film series for Robertet and "Source Stories" collaborations spanning global brands like Rolls Royce, SK-II, and Estee Lauder, as well as craft pioneers like ABC Carpet & Home, The Gem Palace of Jaipur, and Obeetee.

Paul's expertise extends to lecturing at institutions like Columbia University and Parsons School of Design on digital storytelling and scent synesthesia. He's been a guest speaker at The World Retail Summit, a keynote speaker at futurist Li Edelkoort’s Trend Union symposium, and in 2024 was invited by The Met Museum to lecture on the influence of Eastern perfumery on the Western world.

Paul co-created LilaNur Parfums, India’s premier luxury fragrance house which launched at Bergdorf Goodman, Harrods, Neiman Marcus, and elsewhere before its India retail debut in 2024.
